ODISHA’s SAND ARTIST MANAS KUMAR SAHOO CREATED A SAND ART ON ‘WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY’ AT PURI SEA BEACH :

Renowned sand artist Manas Kumar Sahoo  created a sand art on Odisha’s Puri beach on the eve of ‘World No Tobacco Day’.  In the sand sculpture he sends the message how each puff of cigarette reduces a person’s life span each time he/she smokes and appeals to say no to tobacco use. Manas, Born to a middle class family in the land of Lord Jagannath, Puri, Odisha. Son of Sri Prahalad Sahoo and Smt Manorama Sahoo, has been doing sand art for sixteen years.  He has participated in various sand art exhibitions held in India & Overseas. It has been two years since he turned to sand animation. In this short span of time, his hard work and passion have earned him national and international fame. He now resides in Puri with his parents Prahlad and Manorama and spends his afternoon with his team experimenting on Sand Sculpture and Sand Animation on the sandy beach of Puri.  The Odisha Sun Times Bureau : 30th  May,17
