The trolls are having a field day, slamming Priyanka Chopra for meeting PM Narendra Modi in Germany, wearing a short dress and sitting cross-legged in front of him. Being a bindaas girl, Priyanka has definitely given it back to the trolls in style, posting another picture of hers with her mom, Madhu, where both of them are wearing short dresses. In this endeavour she has got another ally in Maharashtra’s first lady, Amruta Fadnavis, who had recently faced similar onslaught on social media for wearing a short dress for her video shoot with Amitabh Bachchan.   Coming to Priyanka’s support, Amruta says, “It is really sad that in India, a woman’s clothes get more reactions than her body of work. Priyanka is a global icon who has an impressive repertoire of work. It is appalling that people in this day and age want to dictate what she or any other woman should or shouldn’t wear. Nobody has any right to use filthy language or to abuse anyone. This is a free world; people can criticise anyone if they remain within the boundaries of decency, but nobody has any right to humiliate others, using unparliamentary language. And when PM and Priyanka had no problems, why should others have any issue with it, is beyond my comprehension. I feel you should do what comes naturally to you and not what people force you to do. There was nothing obscene or vulgar in Priyanka’s attire and she has the ultimate right to choose for herself, so trolling is totally unacceptable.”   The Times  of  India :  1st. June,17
