The famous yoga guru Baba Ramdev, whose yoga techniques are massively popular, will soon have a TV show which will showcase his life’s journey.   ‘Baadshaho’ actor Ajay Devgn will soon join hands with filmmaker Abhinav Shukla, to produce a biopic on yoga guru Baba Ramdev. ” The television series, titled ‘Swami Baba Ramdev: The Untold Story’ revolves around Ramdev and his partner Balakrishna, tracing his journey from an anonymous common man to a national icon, a global figure and a business mogul ,” a source close to the development informed Mumbai Mirror.   Vikrant Massey was initially roped in for the titular role in the biopic, however, he refused to play the part and said, ” Yes I had started prep but have since opted out for personal reasons. I wish the team luck. ”  However an insider revealed to a media portal, ” Vikrant was on the radar and the team was keen to take him on board and he had even started prepping for his role by growing his beard and hair. It was a sudden decision to opt out and happened after the release of ‘A Death In The Gunj’. Not only has the film, but also Vikrant’s performance in it also, has been appreciated by all. The actor now doesn’t want to get bogged down by his role in the Baba Ramdev series as he’s been getting many film offers and his well-wishers advised him against taking up a TV series at this stage in his career. But Abhinav and the production team are upset as Vikrant forgot to inform them first when he decided to opt out. Abhinav and Ajay’s team were unaware about Vikrant’s decision to opt out, as he had not informed them officially and they had to read about it in the media. Now they are scouting for an actor and should be able to find someone suitable soon. ”   As per reports, the writers are presently busy with their research and shooting will start by the year-end. Baba Ramdev who was born on December 25, 1965, adopted his name Ramdev from Swami Shankar Dev. Before turning into a sanyasi, Baba Ramdev studied Indian scriptures, yoga and Sanskrit in several gurukuls.   Ajay Devgn is currently busy shooting for Milan Luthria’s action-thriller ‘Baadshaho’ and will soon start shooting for Rohit Shetty’s ‘Golmaal Again’.   The Times of  India : 14th.
