Madhur Bhandarkar‘s upcoming politically charged film ‘Indu Sarkar’ featuring Kirti Kulhari as the lead, may not see the light of day in Indore. The film is set during the Emergency in India from 1975 to 1977, under the rule of late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.  According to reports, the Congress party workers in Indore have issued a letter to the Cine Circuit Association and Cine Grah Sanchalan warning them against screening the film in the city. In the letter, the party workers state that they will not let the film release in theatres and threatened to protest against its release by burning the effigies of actor Anupam Kher and director Madhur Bhandarkar. They also threatened to vandalise movie theatres and asserted that the owners and administration will be held responsible. The Times  of  India : 11th. July,17
