ACTOR AKSHAY KUMAR HAS A KESHAV CONNECTION IN FILM ‘TOILET : EK PREM KATHA’ :

In the upcoming comic satire, ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’, directed by Shree Narayan Singh, Akshay Kumar plays Keshav, a common man who fights odds and societal pressures to fulfill his wife Jaya’s (Bhumi Pednekar) basic need of sanitation. While his character is expected to resonate with the common man, not many know that it was Akshay who insisted on the name Keshav. While shooting in Mathura, the actor felt a strong connection with the city, better known as Lord Krishna’s birthplace. He also shares a divine connection with Krishna. He played the deity in OMG! Oh My God! and has made strong references to him in Bhool Bhulaiyya. His forthcoming film, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, while keeping the tradition alive, features the first ever Latth Maar Holi song, ‘Gori Tu Latth Maar’, that celebrates the tradition of wives punishing their husbands for their mistakes.  ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’, produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures, co-produced by KriArj Entertainment, Cape of Good Films.
