From the time he entered Bollywood 26 years ago, Ajay Devgn has been particular about performing all his action sequences himself. His upcoming action drama, the Milan Luthria-directed ‘Baadshaho’, saw him further push the envelope with yet another challenging and complex stunt. Choreographed by German action director Ramazan Bulut, who has worked on Hollywood hits like Rush and Inferno, the sequence required Ajay to slide under an armoured truck moving at a considerable speed. Though all safety precautions were in place, the challenge was three-fold. To begin with, the gap between the truck and the road was just wide enough for him to fit in. Adding to the risk, barely a few inches away from Ajay’s face were the jagged rotating edges of the truck’s ‘differential’, an engine element prominent in the armoured trucks of the 70s. Last but not the least, the sequence required Ajay to simultaneously drag his feet on the ground and pull himself towards the front of the truck while looking up towards the camera.
