In an explosive interview with mid-day’s Sit With Hitlist, Kangana Ranaut has bared it all. From calling herself the only female actress to earn good numbers at the Box Office to slamming Karan Johar and gang, the Queen actress has given her opinion to everything she was asked. After the release of Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, a video of Kangana Ranaut riding a mechanical horse had gone viral on social media. The 32-year-old actor believes that leaking the video on social media was a conspiracy against her. Apparently, she thinks that it was a negative PR stunt. 

“A lot of negative PR for me has been happening from these people, and I know them. I know who gives these news out. That’s why, whenever I do something, it is to put them in their place,” said Kangana.Talking about the dummy horse-riding video, Kangana Ranaut confidently said that she knows who got that video leaked online. “If I tell you the name, you will be shocked,” stated the Tanu Weds Manu actress.The actress is also of the opinion that there is a lot of politics happening inside the industry and people are uncomfortable with her rise. “Whether it’s Tanu Weds Manu or Manikarnika, it’s not the actresses spot that I am questioning or I am trying to get to. These are the figures (Box Office) which no female-centric films have seen before. Tanu Weds Manu is in a zone, which is still way ahead of male heroes in terms of box office collections,” affirms Miss Ranaut.Apart from Manikarnika, this year, Kangana will begin filming for the biopic of the late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa. The Queen of Bollywood Kangana Ranaut  shared a lot of incidents during the chat,  one of them being how Pahlaj Nihalani asked her to work in a soft-porn sort of a movie. The actress said: “The fact that people met and promised to guide, help, but then I was put under house arrest. And then Pahlaj Nihalani had offered me a film called I Love You Boss. They had a photo-shoot where they gave me a robe to wear and no undergarments.”Kangana Ranaut continued: “So I just had a satin robe for a show-girl pose, from which I had to stick my leg out, coming out of darkness. They should at least have given some tapes. I was supposed to play a young girl lusting after her middle-aged boss. So it was a soft-porn sort of character. And I had this epiphany that I can’t do this. I felt like this is exactly what my parents were talking about.”On the professional front, after delivering Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, Kangana Ranaut is all set to portray the character of the iconic politician, Jayalalithaa, lovingly addressed as Amma. 83% OF 521 SITTING MPs ARE CROREPATIS AND 33% HAVE CRIMINAL CASES :

At least 83 per cent of 521 sitting MPs are ‘crorepatis’ and 33 per cent of them have criminal cases against them, according to a report by election watchdog Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR).The ADR, an NGO working in electoral reforms, has compiled the report after analysing self-sworn affidavits of the 521 MPs out of 543 members elected to the Lok Sabha in the 2014 elections.”Out of the 521 Sitting MPs analysed, 430 (83 per cent) are crorepatis. While 227 of them are from Bharatiya Janata Party, 37 are from Congress, 29 from All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, among others,” the report said.The average assets per sitting MP for Lok Sabha 2014 elections are Rs 14.72 crore.While 32 sitting MPs have declared more than Rs 50 crore worth of assets, only two sitting MPs have declared assets less than worth Rs 5 lakh.At least 33 per cent sitting MPs have declared criminal cases against them in the affidavits.”While 106 of them have declared serious criminal cases including cases related to murder, attempt to murder, communal disharmony, kidnapping and crimes against women, 10 sitting MPs have declared cases related to murder.”Out of these, 4 sitting MPs are from BJP, 1 MP from Indian National Congress, Nationalist Congress Party, Lok Janshakti Party, Rashtriya Janata Dal, Swabhimani Paksha each and one MP is an Independent,” the report said.”14 sitting MPs have declared cases of attempt to murder. Out of these, eight sitting MPs are from BJP and one MP each from INC, All India Trinamool Congress, NCP, RJD, Shiv Sena and Swabhimani Paksha.”14 sitting MPs declared cases related to causing communal disharmony. One of the most iconic comedy series “Sex and the City”, is getting a follow-up, which examines love and dating after 50.In a competitive situation, Paramount Television has landed the rights to the follow-up novel to “Sex and the City”, reports variety.com.“Is There Still Sex in the City?” which is set to be released by Grove Press on August 6, hails from “Sex and the City” author Candace Bushnell.The new book take a look at sex, dating, and friendship in New York City after 50.Set between the Upper East Side of Manhattan and a country enclave known as The Village, the book looks at love and life, marriage and children, divorce and bereavement, as well as the very real pressures on women to maintain their youth and have it all.Bushnell will write the pilot script and serve as an executive producer on the project, along with Liza Chasin from 3dot Productions and Robyn Meisinger from Anonymous Content.“The original ‘Sex and the City’ book and series served as a ground-breaking touchstone for an entire generation of women, myself included. ” said Nicole Clemens, president of Paramount TV.“We’re thrilled to be able to continue that conversation from the underrepresented point of view of women in their 50s and answer the question with, ‘Yes! Actress Tamannaah Bhatia had recently joked about relaxing the no-kiss clause in her contract for Hrithik Roshan. The actor has now revealed that if she would has to go on a date with a Bollywood actor, she would like to choose Vicky Kaushal. In an interview to Pinkvilla, Tamannaah also spoke about the MeToo movement claiming it to be turning into a ‘PR ploy’. The Baahubali actor said, “You know there were different allegations made on different people and I think the whole idea of #MeToo movement was to get people to talk about it and share their experiences. If there is an experience that someone had and if they are talking about, it takes a lot of courage to do that.But somewhere I feel me too movement lost its gush because it became more of a PR ploy which shouldn’t have been. CHOREOGRAPHER SAROJ KHAN CRITICISED BOLLYWOOD FOR UNORGINAL SONGS AND DANCE SEQUENCES :

Bollywood choreographer Saroj Khan, who is choreographing Madhuri Dixit after four years in Kalank, has criticised the quality standards in Bollywood saying “music directors can’t even come up with original tracks” and dance is mostly copied from the west.Saroj has choreographed a song for Madhuri Dixit in Kalank. Saroj spoke about it to a tabloid, “Four years after Gulaab Gang, I’ve choreographed another song for Madhuri (Dixit). All through the film (Kalank) she makes others dance and never dances herself, then, in the climax, when Varun’s (Dhawan) Zafar enters the kotha, she breaks into a mujra. Tabahi is a sad, situational song with fast-paced beats. Madhuri and I danced our hearts out and I’m hopeful that after seeing it, people will remember Saroj Khan again. After just reading about it, Kangana Ranaut with whom I had worked in Tanu Weds Manu earlier, called me to do a song, Rajaji, in Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.”She also slammed the current crop of Bollywood songs and claimed the heroines ‘look and dress the same’. She said, “Bollywood songs have hit an all time low. None of the songs today are memorable and you can’t differentiate between heroines, who look and dress the same. I have to ask my kids who the actress is. In the ’80s and ’90s, maybe even before that, every heroine was distinctive and no one was afraid of close-ups. People are trying to copy western dance, but gymnastics is meant for circus people.” “Why go into living rooms in the West and show them their own moves when people abroad love and want to learn our todas and taals? ACTOR GAJRAJ RAO WON BEST ACTOR AWARD FOR ‘BADHAAI HO’ :

It’s Badhaai Ho moment for actor Gajraj Rao who continues to impress his fans and critics with his onscreen performances. The actor won the Best Actor award at the recently held Reel Awards in Mumbai for his performance in the film. Gajraj had played Jeetender Kaushik, a middle-aged Indian Railways employee, in the film. The film was about the couple — with Neena Gupta as his wife — getting pregnant and the reactions of their son, played by Ayushmann Khurrana, and the society.Happy at receiving the award, Gajraj was seen asking the host how much time was alloted to the winners to deliver a thank you speech. He thanked the cast and crew of the film for making it a success. He later shared a picture from the event and captioned it, “It was an honour receiving award from one of my favourite star @konkona.” He also shared a selfie with Alia Bhatt, who received the Best Actress award for her performance in Raazi.Gajrao had earlier told IANS post the success of the film, “It’s a miracle, it’s magic.
